2006
- February 2006, Marine & Offshore Solution Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Malaysia as a professional Marine / Shipping Services provider.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for two units of double hull stainless steel oil tankers.
- Appointed as Project Manager for the activation of the two units of tankers, entered into the North of England Protection and Indemnity Club, Classed to Ship Classification Malaysia Standards and registered under the Malaysian Registry.
- November 2006, successfully obtained it’s “Document of Compliance” for the management of “Oil Tankers” by Malaysian Marine Department.
2007
- Appointed as Manager for the technical management of a VLCC sized, 266,000 DWT converted into a Floating Storage Unit & anchored at Port of Tanjung Pelepas.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for a multi purpose Bulk Carrier used as Container Carrier.
- Appointed as Project Manager for a new building in China. This multi- purpose Bulk Carrier was Classed under China Classification Society , registered under the Malaysian Registry and entered into Shipowners Protection and Indemnity Club. Vessel was then activated and commercially operated.
- Appointed as Project Manager to supervise the Special Survey without dry-docking of the Floating Storage Unit. This allowed the Floating Storage Unit to carry out her operations without loss of revenue if the vessel were compelled to dock.
- December 2007 invited Malaysian Flag to audit the company’s Safety Management Systems for non-tanker vessels to expand the company’s business flexibility and range to match our management teams expertise. Flag State promptly approved our SMS and Company was issued with the “Document of Compliance” for management of “Other Cargo Ships”.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for two Trailer – Suction – Hopper - Dredgers (TSHD).
- Successfully activated the two Trailer - Suction - Hopper - Dredgers at port of Lumut and delivered both vessels to Batam Island for class surveys, repairs and upgrading works which included complete stripping of main engines, re-activation, acceptance into Ship Classification Malaysia, registered under Malaysian Registry, and entry into Shipowners Protection and Indemnity Club.
- Marine & Offshore Solution was admitted as main member by the Protection and Indemnity Club.
2008
- Appointed as Project Manager for the activation of a double hull tanker, entry into Shipowners Protection and Indemnity Club and for acceptance into Ship Classification Malaysia and registered under Malaysian Registry.
- Successfully prepared a vessel for Shell audit. The vessel was approved by Shell for carriage of oil products and to load/discharge cargo at terminals operated by Shell.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for a 3,500 MT DWT double hull oil tanker. Delivered vessel to Owners, changed it’s crew, Flag and it’s name at South Korea.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for a multi-purpose General Cargo vessel to be used for shipment of high value dangerous cargo. Delivered vessel to Owners, change of full set of crew, flag and name of vessel at Singapore.
- Appointed as Ship Managers for a 6,500 MT DWT double hull oil tanker. Delivered vessel to Owners, change of full crew set, flag and name of vessel in China.
- Project Manager for retro-fitting of two double hull tankers of 3,500 DWT and 6,500 DWT respectively by installing hose cranes for bunkering and complying to Oil Major requirements.
- Appointed as Ship Manager for two 7,000 DWT, IMO Type II Chemical Tankers being build in China by a local Ship Owner.
- Appointed as the New Building consultant to oversee the local supervising team during the construction phase till delivery.
- Management consultant for a multi-purpose bulk-carrier on a retainer basis. We handed over the management of this vessel back to Owner for self management after training the owner’s personnel and developing a management system for the owner.
2009
- Marine & Offshore Solution Sdn Bhd relocated it’s business to it’s new and larger premises at Jalan Kuchai Maju 9, Kuala Lumpur.
- The Company was entered on the membership register of Malaysian Shipowners’ Association (MASA) as an associate member.
2010
- Document of Compliance issued under the SOLAS Convention 1974, as amended, by Class Lloyd’s Register on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand.
- Appointed as Ship Manager for the technical management of a VLCC of 275, 341 DWT;
- And also a VLCC of 285, 356 DWT to replace an older vessel. Both these vessels were converted into a Floating Storage Unit. To meet Marine Department’s requirement to ensure vessel will not drift from her designated position, both were moored permanently to Single Buoy Moorings at Port of Tanjung Pelepas.
- Appointed as Ship Manager for a 450 TEU feeder container vessel servicing the Port Klang – Singapore – Kuching route operated by a well established Malaysian container liner service provider.
2011
- Appointed by ship owner as project consultant for a 450 TEU container vessel’s mandatory dry-docking and upgrading repairs at CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding Co.Ltd.
- Appointed by ship owner as project consultant for a 450 TEU container vessel’s mandatory dry-docking and upgrading repairs at CSSC Guangzhou Huangpu Shipbuilding Co.Ltd.
- MarOff Office re-located to a larger and established area at Kuchai Business Park around Sept 2011.
2012
- Appointed as Technical Manager and ISM/ISPS Manager in May 2012 for a 561 TEU feeder container vessel servicing the Port Klang – Singapore – Kuching route operated by a well established Malaysian container liner service provider.
- Appointed as Technical Manager and ISM/ISPS Manager in Aug 2012 for a 1,016 TEU feeder container vessel servicing the Port Klang – Singapore – Labuan – Kota Kinabalu – Tawau – Sandakan route operated by a well established Malaysian container liner service provider.
Delivery of said vessel was done in Singapore with change of name and change of flag carried-out successfully within stipulated time frame by Owner. - Appointed as Technical Manager and ISM/ISPS Manager in Dec 2012 for a 1,504 DWT oil/chemical tanker servicing the Tanjung Langsat – Balikpapan – Samarinda – Pendingin route operated by a well established Singaporean charterer and Malaysian owner. The vessel is chartered to oil majors.
Delivery of said vessel was done in Greece with change of ownership and change of flag carried-out successfully within stipulated time frame by Owner.
2016
- Appointed Ship Manager for 2 Panamax bulk Carriers for ship management.
- Registration into Malaysian Class & all manual compilation completed.
- All requirement for Class & Flag state including DOC attained.
- Delivery aborted by Owners due contract negotiation & licensing between charterers.
